My Supports is Hiring - NSW State Coach

Due to recent growth My Supports is looking for a State Lead/Coach to assist in operations within NSW. This is a key leadership role with state-wide responsibilities. The role is predominately metro based within the South Western Sydney area but regular travel to regional NSW is required.

Hours for this role are advertised as full time, 38 hours per week.

About the role

The Coach is responsible for My Supports delivering quality services to all clients in a large area of NSW. Working closely with National Coach, the Coordinator Coach provides direct management and guidance to Neighbourhood Teams, as well as achieving the My Supports mission in their state.

Tasks

  • Delivering on the My Support's vision/mission/values

  • Managing a large area of NSW

  • Ensuring Team Coordinators are correctly trained and educated in accordance with legislative frameworks

  • Conducting regular coaching and supervision of Coordinators

  • Reviewing the performance of Coordinators, and recommending areas for improvement.

  • Communicating effectively with metropolitan and regional team coordinators

  • Delivering service excellence

  • Guiding and managing Coordinators so they can deliver on this goal within their team

  • Working with Head Office and National Outreach Manager, lead the My Supports outreach effort in a region of the state.

  • Guiding the overall the state outreach effort

  • Assisting Coordinators to develop and execute outreach plans

  • Maintaining inter-agency relationships

  • Quality & Safeguarding - working to ensure My Supports are meeting regulatory requirements on a day to day basis

  • Accident/Incident Reporting

  • Complaints handling in accordance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding

  • Achieving client goals and NDIA reporting requirements

  • Human Resource Responsibilities in conjunction with HR Team

Skills and Experience

The selection criteria is:

  • A minimum’s 1 year experience as a Team Leader/Manager

  • Excellent English and communication skills

  • An excellent network in the sector, knowledgeable on developments in service delivery

  • Strong knowledge on the NDIA

  • At a minimum, be a permanent resident of Australia.

  • Computer skills and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • A full C Class License and reliable vehicle are essential.

  • A qualification in disability or community services highly desirable

  • A National Police Clearance and Working with Children's Check will be a mandatory request prior to employment being offered.

  • NDIS Orientation Training Module Certificate

My Supports operates as a close-knit team, and therefore work will be conducted within the candidate's local area. Working hours can be flexible, and arranged to suit the work-life requirements of the applicant. However, the applicant must ensure to work their 38-hour load, and must be able to travel around regional New South Wales as required.

Salary

Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications in conjunction with the SCHADS Award between Level 5 and Level 6.

All employees are entitled to 9.5% superannuation, plus Award level sick and annual leave. Additionally, a fuel allowance will be paid per fortnight, and you will be provided with a work phone.
